Our Journey to Helping Hands All Ways

Our story began over 10 years ago with the founding of Connie Home LLC by Calves Connie Blake. Located in Winnebago County, Connie Home now is one of six Adult Family Homes (AFH) offering a safe and supportive environment for up to four females. We are HCBS compliant and provide services to individuals with various needs, including:

Developmental disabilities
Emotional disturbances and mental illness
Irreversible dementia/Alzheimer's
Terminally ill individuals
Traumatic brain injury (TBI)

After the success of Connie Home, we expanded with Promises’ Homes LLC, an Ohio-based Foreign Limited Liability Company, established on November 4, 2021, with the first home in Columbus Ohio which has continued to operate as the first of more houses to come in our expansion with Columbus Ohio. We are now ready to pursue the work of community services and programs that will serve the Franklin County area. We currently employ 44 staff members and offer opportunities for our residents to thrive through supportive services and compassionate outreach to those underserved.

About Helping Hands All Ways

On November 5, 2021, Helping Hands All Ways the non-profit benevolent arm of what we do became 501c3 tax exempt with a mission to uplift individuals who are justice-involved and those facing challenges in rebuilding their lives after hardship.
